Roulette Switch Studios
Roulette Switch Studios
Microgaming’s sleek European Roulette game from Switch Studios has us charmed, we have to admit, with a high-end look that will have the competition running scared. We love this new game, it’s the next best thing to playing in Monte Carlo. With landscape and portrait modes (you can flip between the 2 seamlessly), special bets and a lovely look, it´s our new favourite way of putting it all on the red.
The Basics
Gaming giants, Microgaming, have been working with smaller studios for some time now to beef up their games portfolio, and UK based Switch Studios were give the nod on updating their table games which were, let’s be honest, in need of an upgrade.
If you’re looking for a high quality immersive online roulette experience then this new title delivers. It’s fast, slick and very pretty. This game makes you feel as if you’re sitting in a world-class casino, whatever device you are playing.
The Graphics
Visually, this game is a stunner. You’ll find yourself viewing a glossy roulette wheel topped with a diamond spinner. The tone of the game is expensive and professional. It´s a good job I play in my DJ normally (you might call that a tux if you’re from a different part of the world).
You sit in front of well laid out bet table which is well designed for smaller screens and easy to lay bets on. You can see a virtual casino around you with the floor, plants and other seats in view. I have to admit, the designers have gone the full monty with the design, hats off to them.
They have managed to design and pull together an authentic gaming experience with ultra-smart graphics: it´s a pleasure to look at.
The soothing tones of a professional croupier and the general tinkling of the roulette table accompanies your play. Ah, it takes me back to my Monaco trips. If you prefer a quieter life, you can switch off the sounds- the game is loaded with custom options.
At the bottom of the screen are a selection of icons which will help you to navigate around the game with zones such as the specials bets and statistics corner. A row of gambling chips of different denominations can be clicked or tapped on to bet. Easy.
Roulette Switch Studios Game Play
Whether you’re a high roller or more into a quick flutter, this new game should appeal. A gold table card on the green baize has all of the maximum and minimum bets and the table total.
You can start placing bets from 25p or 25c. However, if you’re looking for more skin in the game, the bet range should have you covered.
Place and save Favourite Bets if you want to make up custom bet profiles. And a tab at the bottom of the screen speeds the game up if you want to play in turbo mode.
Racing Track Bets
If you want to place more complex bets there’s an icon at the bottom of the screen where you can bring up the a miniature overlay racing track-
This configuration has bee designed to make it easy to place neighbour numbers on the roulette wheel. Or, place your standard Call Bets from here: Tiers Du Cylindre, Orphelins or Voisins Du Zero. Once you’ve laid your bets on the race track, the bets are automatically transferred into chips on the main bet table: it’s all very smooth.
There are all of the standard bets on offer, of course, with the Inside and Outside bets featured. So, if you want to make a Line Bet, a Street Bet or similar- you just need to tap your bet onto the relevant zone on the betting layout. Similarly with the Even-Money and Dozen Bets: that’s easily done too.
One other great online roulette feature is the statistical information that you have at your fingertips. Now we all know that the wheel has no memory, but who doesn’t like to look at the previous results? Get the “intel” on the current hot and cold numbers and other historical trends.
Monkey Verdict
This European Roulette game from Microgaming And Switch will have other online roulette games developers scrambling to compete. It’s a great all-rounder of a game that has been delivered in first class style, and with enough bet options to satisfy the most demanding gamer. They have moved the bar with this one.
