The Graphics

The Play

Arctic Valour slot has 6 reels, 4 rows and a whopping 4096 ways to win. All you need to do is land 3x or more icons on adjacent reels to make a winning combo. When you are have just finished playing a more traditional game like Tesla Jolt with its 20 pay-lines, that takes some getting used to. But get used to it we did.

The high-scoring icons are the 4 mythical Valkyries. In the base game these creatures will land on a single reel position with just the heads of the ladies and their winged helmets visible. Each Valkyrie has also has a weapon to call her own; these include crossed swords, a bow and arrows, a winged crown and a shield, and they will also appear on your reels. The lower value icons are a series of a blue, red and purple snowflakes.

But, it’s a different story in the bonus game, as the Valkyries will expand to cover 4 positions giving you more chances to win. And when they do land, it’s with some really rather dramatic poses.
The icon with “Wild” written on it will substitute for all other icons, except the Scatter. And speaking of which, the eye-catching Scatter is a multi-coloured ice-crystal.

The Bonuses

Icicle Feature
Those of you with sharp eyes (or a well-concealed magnifying glass) will have seen the series of icicles that dangle, distractingly, just above the reels. At random, single or multiple icicles can fall onto the reels covering between 1 and 3 reels. And when they do, they will reveal hidden treasures in the form of extra Wilds or some cool cash prizes.

Arctic Valor Bonus
This bonus feature is effectively an enhanced Free Spins game which comes with some intriguing extras. Getting 3x Scatters onto the reels will activate this feature which kicks off with 7 games.
Land any of the Valkyries on the reels and they’ll each expand to cover an entire reel – which means some nice big pays. Plus, the icicle feature is also active during the Free Spins feature.

Verdict

Arctic Valor slot makes a nice change and the Bonus with its expanding symbols will shift your focus away from those scantily clad goddesses. You might want to play with the sound turned down, though – as the Valkyries make a hell of a racket…
