Holiday Spirits

What the Dickens, chaps and chapesses, it’s time to draw a chair up to the warm fire and load up Play’n GO’s festive treat: the Holiday Spirits slot, starring that old famous miser Ebenezer Scrooge. Luckily for us, it’s 3 spirits who are in charge of things on this game (the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future) and they are known to be much more generous.

The Look

Play’n GO design a nice looking game (try House of Doom 2: the Crypt if you don’t believe me)  and the Holiday Spirits slot is no exception to that rule. There’s a roaring fire, a lovely looking Crimbo tree and 3 reels of prettily draw festive symbols.

Ol’ Grumpy Chops Ebeneezer in his top hat is wild. Then you have the ghosts and Jacob Marley, Scrooge´s business partner. This is a 5 pay-line 3 reel slot in which wins are paid left to right in the traditional manner. The good news is you can win up to 1600x your bet. Not bad for a 3 reeler! Holiday Spirits Slot Game Play

All of the symbols can stack up on the 3×3 grid, and if you land 2 stacks you get a guaranteed win, even if you haven’t landed a winning combo. A nice little festive treat! You’ll either get a Win Spin of Christmas Past, Present or Future. It’s a different game to the Foxpot slot machine which just has the one pay-line. I told you those ghosts were generous!

Win Spins of Christmas Future
This sets off with Double Stacks and the x2 Multiplier active. You get a Re-Spin and the stacked reels stick in place. And if you don’t win, the multiplier goes up and you get another. It goes up to x3, then x4, x5 and finally x10. There is a guaranteed win on the x10 spin, so hopefully you don´t win on the early ones!

Win Spins of Christmas Present
This ghost gets active with Double Stacks when the x3, x4 or x5 multiplier is in play. A re-spin fires off and you get a guaranteed win. The stacks are sticky and the multiplier is fixed.

Win Spins of Christmas Past
If you land the Double Stacks and the x10 multiplier is in play, then the Ghost of Christmas Past is in charge of the proceedings. Off goes the re-spin like the other 2 features, and the stacks are sticky again. This time, it’s better to make the win early as the multiplier value goes down for each non winning spins, first to x5, then to x4, x3 and finally to x2.

Ebeneezer’s Gift
The Ghosts have obviously got to him earlier, as Scrooge has a gift for you too. Ebeneezer’s Gift can trigger in the base game when the clock is in play or in any of the Win Spins features. If Ebeneezer’s Gift sets off, it doubles the active multiplier. Thank you Ebeneezer, what a gentleman you are!

Ebeneezer’s Clock
Scrooge can also tell the time, and at random, Scrooge’s old clock may strike gold! It could spin and dish out a x2, x3, x4, x5 or a x10 multiplier which will be factored onto to any wins you land. Very kind of you, sir.

Summary

When we first discovered that Play’n GO were launching the Holiday Spirits slot with Scrooge in it we thought “crikey, I thought he was a bit of a miserly chap, this won´t float our Festive boat. But it turns out that the Ghosts are in charge of the payouts and all is hunky dory.

This is a 3 reel game that looks and feels like a 5 reeler with plenty of features to boot. Good fun!
