There’s no 2 ways about it, this Play ‘n GO game is a real looker. It’s good to see an Indian inspired game. We see lots of Irish, Mexican, Western and Chinese themed games, and a fair few Japanese ones, but for some reason the main design houses skipped over India. Well, no longer!
It’s an enormous sub-continent with a population of over a billion and a very rich culture. You wonder why there aren’t more Indian themed games? The graphics are sophisticated and lavish
As well as the the elephant god Ganesha, you will see snakes, peacocks and lions, and plenty more. It’s a slick design as usual from Play’n GO.
The excitement moves up a gear if you set off the random Wild Prize feature in the base game, or you trigger the bonus with mystery symbols that expand up and down the reel they land on.
Idol of Fortune Slot Game Play
This game is a 5-reel, 3-row, 243 Ways to Win game and Idol of Fortune slot is volatile, like many games from Play’n GO. The game pays from at least 3 matching symbols from left to right. The symbols are nicely done, even the 10-A card symbols have been drawn in an Indian font.
The mouse, snake, peacock, lion, and elephant symbols are the high payers. There is a also a wild symbol of course.
Free Spins Bonus
When you drop in 3, 4, or 5 Ganesha scatters, you win 5x, 10x, or 50x your bet, and a portion of Free Spins. There are six packages of bonus on offer. You pick from 20, 15, 12, 10, or 8 free spins, with 8, 18, 28, 38, or 48 mystery symbols on the reels. Or you can get the game to select one at random for you.
Mystery symbols will only land in free spins. When they drop in, they stick and expand one row up or down in between each spin. They can spread across the entire row before disappearing. You cannot re-trigger the Free Spins unfortunately.
Wild Prize Feature
This feature can set off on any spin. When it triggers, 1 to 5 reels turn into a Gold Reel, and if a wild lands on a Gold Reel, you will need to pick coins until three of the same denomination are revealed. You will then scoop the Wild Prize worth 10, 25, 500, or 5,000 times your stake. The last one is a very nice prize!
Summary
We love the look of this game. Play’n GO don’t mess around on design, do they?
I’d have like to have seen some of the mystery symbol action in the base game (maybe at a lower return) which would have spiced up the game for those periods before you are able to land the scatters.
The Wild Prize feature is a good addition though with that 5,000x top win. All in all, definitely worth a spin particularly for that different South Asian theme.
