The Graphics
Visually, the Reactoonz slot takes you to a universe with cute aliens with large googly eyes who are shaped like upside-down jam jars. Still, the colourful cartoon-style graphics are entertaining and I enjoyed the jaunty soundtrack. It’s brighter than the Gemix 2 slot and that’s saying something.

Reactoonz slot is played on a 7×7 grid with no pay lines, and you can spin from 20p/c up to a £/€/$100.00 per spin. It’s a bit different to the more traditional set up that you will find on games like the Hot Bonus Joker slot.
This game features cascading reels – which means symbols drop down into a 7×7 grid and winning combos are formed by landing five or more of the same symbol connected in a cluster horizontally or vertically.
Land a win and the symbols are removed to make way for brand new icons to drop down from above. The cascades continue until you no longer make a win, and can often go on for ages!
As an extra touch, your winning combos are displayed in a strange container to the left of the reels, while at the bottom right you’ll see the Gargantoon. But more on that big ugly fella later.
Your symbols on the reels include the weird aliens in a rainbow of colours; pink, green, orange, blue, purple, brown, dark green and yellow. The highest value symbol is the pink alien who will give you 750x your stake for 5 on a payline.
The Wild symbol in the Reactoonz slot is a vortex kind of shape and replaces all symbols in the game to help form winning combinations.
The Bonuses
Wild Symbols
Wilds don’t land on the reels in this game, instead, they are formed in two ways:
– from the Fluctuation feature. On each spin, you’ll see one symbol is marked as ‘fluctuating’. If any combo is formed from these symbols they will leave two wilds behind when they explode.
– You can also get wilds with the Instability feature. Here the Gargantoon will add between four and eight wilds to your reels after any non-winning spin. He sounds like a decent sort.
Multipliers
Form a 2×2 square (or larger) of matching symbols and you’ll get a symbol 2x multiplier. Excellent news!
Quantum Leap Bonus
As you hit consecutive wins, the Quantum Leap meter at the top right will charge up. Once it’s fully charged, you will set off one of four generous features:
– Implosion: Will transform from three to six symbols into Wilds and explode all adjacent symbols
– Incision: Will add a Wild icon to the centre of the screen and transform two diagonal lines into matching symbols
–Demolition: Will remove all lower-paying one-eyed symbols
– Alteration: Will pick a one-eyed symbol and turn the rest into another symbol.

What is the Quantum Leap Feature?
All wins feed a meter. Each one charges the Quantum Leap Meter, and 25 symbols will fill up one segment. After you complete a segment, a random Quantum feature is energised. Up to four Quantum bonuses can be stored, and if you charge the meter a fifth time, you’ll get a Gargantoon feature. The features trigger after the Avalanche Wins finish.
What is your favourite Quantum feature?
We like the Gargantoon feature! You get a big 3×3 Wild symbol in a random spot, which moves around the grid and splits on each Avalanche into two 2×2 Wilds and then nine 1×1 Wilds. The action can go red hot!
The Verdict
The Reactoonz slot is bright, fun and has so much going on. You could say it’s a ‘world away’ from more traditional games!
With seven bonus features on offer, the entertainment levels are high, but we would have liked to see a Free Spins round.
All in all, a complex slot from Play’n GO that offers high variance fun.
