The Graphics

The Art Deco era was all about glorious symmetry. Geometric patterns, cut glass crystal and golden or silver edges. And ELK Studios have channeled the age rather nicely in the look and feel of this game.

Your reels spin on a dazzling background of red and gold shimmery sequins, and are accompanied by a smooth jazz-style soundtrack. The music is quite relaxing and adds atmosphere to the game. Although I’m not sure this particular ditty is from the 1920s… There’s not a trumpet to be heard.

The action in The Grand Galore slot takes place across 6 reels and 4 rows – but an expanding reel mechanic means the number of ways to win can reach up to 1,000,000. Seriously….. 1,000,000! Although you will start your spins with a rather ordinary 4,096 ways to win – which really isn’t bad at all. So how can this be possible? Well, let me enlighten you: Whenever you land a winning combination, each reel that was part of said win will expand by one row. After this another symbol will be added and you will receive a re-spin.

This reel expansion and re-spin process will continue as long as new winners continue to appear or the reels reach a maximum of 10 rows in height. And when this happens, the win ways will reach 1,000,000!

Bets range from a minimum of 0.20 coins per spin up to a maximum of 100.00 coins per spin which means there is a wager available for all kinds of players.

The Monkey Verdict

The Grand Galore slot is a sleek game. I love the Art Deco theme, not to mention the x2 interesting re-spin features. However, the piece de resistance in this release is the reel mechanic that gives us a potential whopping 1 million Ways to Win!

ELK Studios have always been good at pushing the boundaries of online slot machines, and they’ve done it again here. Bravo to those Swedish fellows!

But, as this is a very high variance slot, don’t expect to land the wins all that often. However, when they do hit, if you’re lucky the could be worth it.
